KARACHI – Ahead of Independence Day celebrations and the “Marka-e-Haq” musical night at the National Stadium, Karachi Traffic Police have released a special traffic and parking plan.
According to the advisory, vehicles with special stickers will be permitted entry through Gate No. 1 and Gate No. 11 of the stadium. Attendees without such access can park at the Expo Centre and China Ground, from where shuttle services will transport them to the venue.
Authorities have warned of heavy traffic congestion on National Stadium Road and Sir Shah Suleman Road, advising citizens to use alternative routes. Buses, minibuses, and other commercial vehicles will be diverted to different roads, while heavy traffic will be strictly prohibited in the vicinity.
Residents have been urged to cooperate with law enforcement, avoid parking on service roads, and ensure smooth traffic movement during the event.
About Marka-e-Haq:
Meaning “Battle for Justice” or “Righteous Campaign,” Marka-e-Haq refers to a major four-day military engagement between Pakistan and India from May 7–10, 2025, also known as Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
The conflict began after India launched strikes on Pakistani territory on the night of May 6–7, allegedly in response to a Pahalgam false flag incident on April 22. According to ISPR, the strikes killed 40 civilians, including women and children, and injured many others.
In retaliation, Pakistan’s armed forces launched Marka-e-Haq to counter Indian aggression, defend national sovereignty, and restore strategic balance.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared May 10 as “Marka-e-Haq Day” to be observed annually in honour of the operation’s success and the bravery of Pakistan’s forces.
