There has been light to heavy rain in different parts of Karachi, due to which water has accumulated in many parts of the city.
Motorcycles and vehicles were stopped due to several feet of water accumulating on the roads from II Chandragar Road to the tower.
Besides, rain water has also accumulated in Saddar, Kharadar, MA Jinnah Road, Lions Area and Kemari.
Rain fell at II Chandragar Road, Shahra-e-Faisal, Malir, Star Gate, Defense and adjoining areas.
Rains caused flooding in Korangi river due to which the causeway is closed for traffic from tomorrow.
The Meteorological Department said that heavy rains are likely in Karachi this evening or tonight.
The meteorological department said that rain is expected in Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Umerkot, Tando Muhammad Khan, Dadu, Jacobabad, Larkana, Nawabshah, Nowshero Feroze, Sanghar, Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki, Kashmore, Tharparkar and Mirpur Khas.
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be moderate or light rain in these districts in 2-3 days.
The Meteorological Department said that intermittent rain will continue in different parts of Karachi throughout the day while rain is also expected in the city on Eid day tomorrow.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz said that the monsoon system is still in full swing and the rains in Karachi will continue till Saturday evening or night.
Sardar Sarfraz said there could be heavy rains on the outskirts of the city while urban flooding would be feared in the low-lying areas.
It is to be noted that intermittent heavy and light rains have been continuing in Karachi since this week due to which water has accumulated in some roads and streets.
