KARACHI: Karachiites woke up to a pleasant surprise this Tuesday as early morning showers cooled the city. Rainfall graced areas like Saddar, Shahra-e-Faisal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, and Landhi, bringing much-needed relief. The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts that the rain will continue with some breaks throughout the day. Gulshan-e-Hadeed received the most rain, with 42 millimeters, while Nazimabad saw 26 millimeters and Surjani Town had 25.4 millimeters. Saddar experienced 13 millimeters, and PAF Faisal Base and Gulshan-e-Memar recorded 12 and 12.4 millimeters, respectively.
In light of the heavy rainfall forecast, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has urged local authorities and emergency services to stay alert and ready to respond if needed. The rains have certainly brought a welcome change, and the city’s administration is on standby to handle any challenges that might arise.
