KARACHI Vice President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Shahid Ismail Says K Electric has become a mafia, K-Electric is taking the form of a mafia, since it was privatized 12,15 years ago, I do not think This company benefited the people of Karachi.

We Can see their over billing, take the example of their load shedding, and Currently 8 to 10 hours of load shedding is taking place which is worrying the people in the hot weather in the Provincial capital of Sindh.
We can see Our industry is already on the verge of shutting down due to the corona virus.and Due to Shorteg of Electricity and Un- scheduled load shedding from the K-Electric Industry of the country is near to are completely Collapse .

and first now K-Electric increased Tariff charges by Rs 2.99 rupees per unit on their monthly billing to the customers Which is a total abuse of the people of Karachi over Karachi.

Vice President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI)Shahid Ismail also add On behalf of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce (KCCI) and also on behalf of Chairman Siraj Qasim Tilli who has also appealed through the media several times about this issue.

Shahid Ismail request that the increase of Rs.299 which is made by K-Electric should be withdrawn, but previous tariff should it be reduced so that people can be survives from the situation caused by this corona virus. Be comfortable inside.

And i also request Facilitate the industry, which is already in trouble, I would like to repeat one more thing in this. That’s a monopoly of the K- Electric, and their statuses, Which was given to them 12, 15 years ago under the agreement and which is ending in 2023. I strongly urge the government of Pakistan and our Prime Minister Imran Khan to form a committee on the issue of K-Electric And let K-Electric should be restrained.

Karachi is a huge city, the sixth or eighth largest city in the world. There should be at least four electricity distribution companies in the Karachi City. Which provide electricity.

Shahid Ismail says As long as Electric is the sole company and the monopoly remains, we will face such problems, Unannounced load shedding will continue And we also face unannounced prices hike from K-Electric.
