Karachi (Sports Reporter): The vibrant Jashn-e-Ma’araka-e-Haq Azadi Sports Festival officially commenced in Naya Nazimabad, celebrating the spirit of freedom and unity through sports. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Abdul Samad Habib, Chief Executive Officer of Naya Nazimabad, who ceremoniously cut the ribbon to launch the festivities. The opening day featured exciting dodgeball and table tennis matches, drawing enthusiastic participation and applause.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Abdul Samad Habib highlighted the state-of-the-art sports infrastructure developed in Naya Nazimabad, saying,
“We are proud to offer world-class facilities for 18 different sports, open to youth from across the city as well as members of Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.”
He further emphasized the significance of the festival, stating,
“Our beloved homeland was founded through the immense sacrifices of our forefathers. It is now the duty of our youth to contribute to the nation’s progress with passion and purpose.”
Mr. Habib also announced that the grand highlight of the festival will take place on the evening of August 13, featuring a thrilling cricket tournament followed by a musical concert. The closing ceremony, which includes a flag-hoisting event and prize distribution, is scheduled for August 14 to mark Independence Day.
The ceremony was also addressed by Syed Muhammad Talha, President of Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana, and Saeed Ahmed, CEO of NNMC. A large number of sports enthusiasts, athletes, and dignitaries attended the event, including Senior Manager Gymkhana Raheel Kareem, Sports Manager Muhammad Asif, and Senior Marketing Manager Ahmer Rizvi.
