Islamabad police in an operation inside Parliament Lodges smashed the door of JUI-F National Assembly member Salahuddin Ayubi’s lodge and tortured JUI-F leader Kamran Murtaza.
Police personnel also clashed with PPP member Agha Rafique. The masked police personnel also arrested JUI MNA Salahuddin Ayubi.
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam also arrested ten to twelve activists of the voluntary organization Ansar-ul-Islam, who were transferred to an unknown location.
Ansar-ul-Islam activists resisted the police, who also tortured Senator Kamran Murtaza, while police also arrested JUI-M MNA Salahuddin Ayubi.
Ansarul Islam volunteers were arrested and transferred to an unknown location. Police arrested Maulana Jamaluddin and Mufti Abdullah.
Agha Rafiullah got into a scuffle with the policemen, more people entered the lodges and the police broke down the door and started the operation.
Fazlur Rehman announces closure of highways across the country
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), announced the closure of highways across the country.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman appealed to the workers of all political parties to close the highways.
Fazlur Rehman said that our MSs will be abducted by the police, today our lodges have been attacked.
Fazlur Rehman said that our volunteers arrived here voluntarily, the volunteers did not have any weapons which could be objected to.
The JUI-F chief said that Parliament Lodges were attacked, raids were carried out, Imran and the Speaker should resign before taking the country towards anarchy.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that volunteers came to Parliament Lodges due to negligence of police, came to the shelter of MNAs and made the situation worse.
Sheikh Rashid said that we held talks for five hours to hand over these people to us.
Sheikh Rashid said that people of Ansar-ul-Islam are also coming back, their doors are locked, people are coming from outside and we will try to stop them.
