KARACHI – The National Airline of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iran Air, launched its direct flight from Mashad to Karachi on Wednesday taking the number of Iran air monthly flights to Pakistan to 12.
The flight of Iran Air landed at Jinnah International Airport of Karachi today at 15:20 p.m. local time.
A ceremony was held at Karachi International Airport with the presence of Hassan Nourian, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Head of Iran Air office in Pakistan, and officials of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority.
A cake was also cut on the occasion to welcome the new Iran Air flight in Pakistan.
Hassan Nourian praised Iran Air’s efforts to increase the number of monthly flights to Pakistan and expressed confidence in increased bilateral cooperation in the field of aviation, tourism industry, and people-to-people contacts.
Karachi-Mashad flight launched, Iran Air monthly Pakistan flights increase to 12
The Airbus 320 of Iran Air left Karachi Airport for the holy city of Mashad at 4:23 p.m. local time with 138 passengers on board.
“With the direct flight from Mashad to Karachi, the number of Iran Air monthly flights from Iran to Pakistan and vice versa increased to 12 flights,” Mohammad Parsa Nejad, head of Iran Air Pakistan office, told IRNA.
He added that Iran Air will have four flights from Mashad to Lahore, four flights from Tehran to Karachi, and four flights from Mashad to Karachi.
On January 1st the first passenger flight of Iran Air landed in Lahore the cultural heart of Pakistan.
