Karachi : In today's world, connectivity to the Internet is as important as electricity or water. And in that
respect, the youth of Pakistan hold immense unrealized potential to take their rightful place in the
global digital economy once they are given access to the kind of tools and opportunities that could
get them to become competitive. But without reliable internet infrastructure, we’re only holding back
our own growth. A few freelancers, social media influencers, and tech startups are only just the first
step; for Pakistan to progress and compete globally, we need to give the youth the means with which
to succeed. The internet is no more a luxury; it's a passport toward education, innovation, and
economic self-sustenance.
Finally, the negative impression created by these network outages will translate into making our
efforts for attracting foreign investment a little more difficult. While investors are interested in
investing in countries whose technology infrastructure is sound and strong-a reflection of stability-in
fixing these network disruptions, we have something to present to the world: Pakistan is a viable and
trustworthy environment for investment in technology, remote work, and digital innovation.
It’s time we look at the bigger picture here. Better internet reliability and speed are not mere
demands of the freelancers, but rather an investment in the future. The internet forms the backbone
of all sectors: education, health care, banking, and government services. The better infrastructure of
networking is also essential to support not only freelancers but small businesses, too, in order for
Pakistan to future-proof its economy and elevate quality lifestyles in its general public.
