KARACHI – Indus Motor Company (IMC), true to its commitment to UNs Global Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, has made a Rs 5 million donation to the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), in furtherance of the hospital’s mission. The cheque was presented by Asad Abdullah, Head of CSR at IMC, to Professor AnwerNaqvi, Professor of Urology SIUT and Provost, SIUT Institute of Medical Sciences.
Sharing his thoughts, Chief Executive, Indus Motor, Ali Asghar Jamaliobserved, “As a developing country with less than 2% of its GDP allocated for total health expenditures, Pakistan struggles to maintain a proper healthcare system with regard to quality and accessibility.It is essential that Corporates step forward and lend a hand.”
He further added, “SIUT is doing a remarkable job, serving the country’s less privileged, providing them quality healthcare, absolutely free, in particular, its efforts to combat the continuing COVID-19 crisis. I will take this opportunity to congratulate DrAdib ul Hasan Rizvi’steam for living up to SIUT’s mission under his enlightened leadership.”
