Showbiz Desk: Indian contestant Sargam Koushal won the title of Mrs World 2022 at a gala event in Las Vegas on Sunday.
According to Indian media, the beauty pageant for the selection of Mrs World 2022 was held in the American city of Las Vegas on Sunday 18 Dec 2022. Women from 63 countries participated in the beauty pageant and after various stages, Indian Sargam Koushal was declared as Mrs World 2022. Former Mrs World 2021 Shaylyn Ford of the US presented the crown to Bharti Hasina Sargam Koushal.
The official Instagram handling of the Mrs India pageant shared Koushal’s historic win. “The long wait is over, it’s after 21 years we have the CROWN back!” read the post.
The jury panel of the award also included Indian actress Soha Ali Khan, former Mrs. World Aditi Govitrikar, Indian actor Vivek Oberoi and former international cricketer & captain of India Cricket Team Mohammad Azharuddin.
32-year-old Sargam Koushal originally hails from Jammu and Kashmir; she has done post-graduation in English literature and has also worked as a teacher. He married an Indian Navy officer in 2018.
India has won the Mrs World Crown after 21 years. Earlier, Aditi Govitrikar received this honor in 2001. She has acted in many films like Bheja Fry 2, De Dana Dhan, and Smile Please. Aditi has also been involved as a jury member in the Mrs World 2022 Pageant.
Mrs World is the world’s first beauty pageant in which married women participate. This beauty pageant is being held since 1984. Earlier her name was Mrs America which was later changed to Mrs Woman of the World. In 1988, she was named Mrs World.
