DELHI – India has also acknowledged Pakistan’s peace efforts in the region. Pakistan has been raising its voice against the continuous violations of Indian forces on the Line of Control (LoC).
The Pakistan Army has always called the firing of Indian forces on the civilian population on the LOC an attempt to disrupt peace.
The Foreign Office has also been reacting strongly by blocking Indian diplomatic staff for violations of the ceasefire agreement on the LOC.
As a result of all these efforts of Pakistan, Indian Army Chief general manoj mukund naravane also made a statement regarding the LoCPCs fire.
Manoj Makhand Nirwa termed the ceasefire on the LOC as the first step towards normalization of relations between Pakistan and India.
“We would like a ceasefire to continue on the LOC. This ceasefire has definitely improved the security situation,” he said.
The Indian Army Chief further said that the ceasefire has benefited the citizens living in the border areas.
