Karachi: In Karachi various events were organized on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day, including a flag hoisting ceremony at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Karachi.
The Event was hosted by Dr. Ambreen Haseeb Amber, who is one of the famous poets of Pakistan. The function at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Acting President Saqib Fayyaz Magoon unfurled the flag. In which a large number of industrialists, political and social leaders, and elders of the city participated and the national anthem was sung, while the children of Makarza Umeed presented songs and received applause from the audience.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui Federal Minister and MQM Pakistan Convener was also present at the event while FPCCI Central Executive Committee for Public Relations Convener Shujat Ali Baig and Deputy Convener Syed Turab Shah, Members Mahmood Ahmed Khan, Ali Haider, Farhan Ahmed, Imran Rana, Changgaiz Hussain Khan, Shehbaz Islam, Ammar Muzaffar, Ali Pasnani, Iram Fawad, Zahid Iqbal, also specially participated. On the occasion of Independence Day, saplings were also planted in the Federation House in reference to green Pakistan.
MQM leader Khush Bakht Shujaat and FPCCI Acting President Saqib Fayyaz Magoon said that Independence Day serves as a reminder of our commitment and loyalty to the nation. Later, a seminar was also organized in which Khushbakht Shujaat was the chief guest while Dr. Huma Baqai, Wajahat Hussain Siddiqui, Chairman of Higher Education Commission Sindh, Shujaat Ali Baig and others were among the speakers.
In the ceremony, Khush Bakht Shujaat Acting President of the Federation Saqib Fayyaz Magoon, and Vice Presidents also distributed certificates among the members. At the end of the ceremony, the PR Committee along with Acting President Federation Saqib Fayyaz Magoon cut the Independence Day cake and thanked the guests for celebrating Independence Day together at the Federation House.
