On the auspicious inauguration of Dr. Farah Essa Academy custom-built campus in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Karachi, a press conference was held at the Karachi Press Club on Thursday, 9th of December 2021.
Dr. Farah Essa Academy (DFEA) is a healthcare career and skills training institute. Its mission is to educate and develop world-class, skilled healthcare professionals, with the ultimate goal being to improve patient care and quality of healthcare delivery across Pakistan. The Academy’s niche lies in inculcating sound theoretical knowledge with an emphasis on hands-on attainment of clinical competencies that are at par with international standards. The founder of the institute, Dr. Farah Essa is a Director at Essa Laboratories, and a dedicated physician & clinical educator with more than 18 years of global experience in Canada, Saudi Arabia& Pakistan. She has held key positions in healthcare in Toronto, Canada as well as Riyadh, KSA and has trained over 500 healthcare students, who are now working at reputable healthcare facilities across the world. Dr. Farah is on a mission to change the landscape of healthcare in Pakistan by providing quality education &developing skilled healthcare manpower in the country. Working on women empowerment, Dr. Farah has been a beacon of light for home-based female doctors seeking to return to work, while also encouraging other women to join the healthcare field and have a promising career with employment opportunities.
Mr. Irfan Qamar, the HR lead and senior strategist at DFEA highlighted that international collaborations and trainings will also be offered by the Academy. Ms. Iqra Mahmood, Head Operations elaborated that the Academy has plans to expand its presence throughout Pakistan and also globally.
Dr. Essa Laboratory is a patron and a clinical training site for Dr. Farah Essa Academy. Senator Haseeb Alam joined the inauguration along with senior managers of Dr. Essa Laboratory, including Irfan Ahmed, Mir Mahmood, Anwar Sheikh, Tanveer Ahmed, Lubna Saleem, Imran Ahmed and Sarjeel Hussain.
Dr. Farah Essa extended inauguration invitation to all media representatives and their family members to attend a camp for free health consultation and diagnostic testing at the DFEA campus on11th of December, 2021.
