Former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan is reportedly experiencing severe health issues while incarcerated, with his blood sugar levels spiking and his heartbeat becoming irregular.
PTI has voiced grave concerns over his deteriorating health and has called on the government to provide him access to medical care, including allowing doctors of his choice to examine him.
In a statement, PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram criticized the government for denying Imran Khan his constitutional rights, as outlined in the prison manual. He accused the authorities of depriving the PTI leader of essential facilities in an attempt to break him both physically and mentally.
Akram emphasized the importance of Khan’s health and warned that any neglect in providing medical care could have severe consequences. He further demanded that Khan be allowed regular check-ups with his preferred doctors and that he be permitted to communicate with his sons, asserting that this is his fundamental right.
The party also called for the immediate release of Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and other PTI leaders.
