Imran Khan will not leave Punjab, KPK Governments, Sharjeel Memon.

Karachi, December 08, 2022: Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that Bani Gala has been giving deserted look as Imran Khan camped in Lahore ever since formation of PTI government in Punjab and enjoying free luxuries on the expenses of Punjab government. Even daily food is being provided by Punjab Chief Minister house at the Zaman Park. He said that according to his personal opinion Imran Khan will not leave the Punjab and KPK governments until the last moment.

The minister expressed these views while talking to the media at Sindh Assembly Media Corner along with Provincial Minister for Food, Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla, and Member Sindh Assembly Ghanwar Khan Isran was also present on this occasion.

He added that on the recommendation of Gogees, ministers are being inducted in the Punjab cabinet for limited period of 10 to 15 days so that they can complete their targets. It is beyond understanding that on one hand they want to dissolve assemblies and on the other hand Punjab cabinet is being expanded. The minister recalled that during the no-confidence motion, Imran Khan used all tactics to save his government. Even the electricity of the National Assembly was turned off. In the last nine hours, he (Imran) went to every extent. He dissolved the National Assembly unconstitutionally, so Imran Khan will not do any such thing that stop his free luxuries.

He said that Imran Khan has caused irreparable damage to the country. At present, country is facing the challenge of huge inflation and added that common man is worried as inflation has hit hard on people. The minister said that Imran Khan is responsible for all this mess who wasted the nation’s time due to his ego and delayed to struck IMF program during his government. He said that Imran Khan himself has admitted it and called it his mistake in TV interviews. He added that effects of Imran Khan’s government policies continued till today and the economy of the country has not been able to recover. He said that Imran Khan put the future of the nation at stake for his politics.

He said that two years have passed since the PTI minister talked about the fake licenses of pilots, but even today national airline is not allowed to operate in many countries. It left many pilots jobless. The minister said that Imran Khan wants to push the country to further uncertain situation. The Provincial Information Minister further said that Imran Khan should be held accountable for what he had done to country under the law so that this person does not get another chance to deceive the people again. The provincial minister said that no one wants to run away from the elections, we want the elections to be held tomorrow. But the economic situation of the country is not in good condition. The elections cause billions of rupees expenditure in exchequer.

The Provincial Information Minister said that the resources of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are being spent on Imran Khan and his adventures, both the provincial governments have left the people at their mercy. He added that law and order situation in KPK and Punjab is at its worst, people are suffering from inflation. The PTI governments have completely failed to provide relief to the people. He said that traders in KPK are receiving extortion slips and threats. Street crime has increased in Punjab. The prices of flour have crossed Rs. 100 per kg in some areas of Punjab.

He said that Sindh is the only province which is committed to its people. Despite the economic difficulties efforts are being made to provide all possible relief to the people of the province. He said that People’s Bus Service has been launched from Karachi to provide affordable, comfortable travel facilities to the public. After its operations in Karachi, Larkana and Hyderabad, people’s bus service successful test drive conducted in Sukkur the other day. In current month its formal operations for public will be started in Sukkur.

He said that Punjab and KPK are facing flour shortage and rates of the commodity sky rocket due to non serious policies of provincial governments of PTI. He said that Sindh government is providing flour to the public at Rs. 65 per Kg. The subsidies flour is being provided to the public through 1100 stalls and mobile shops in every city and area of ??the province. The minister said that discussion on the recent rains and floods is under way in Sindh Assembly so as to highlight the disaster caused by natural calamity and make effective policies for rehabilitation phase.

He said that the Sindh government is making every possible effort to rehabilitate the flood victims, all the resources of provincial government has been diverted to complete the gigantic task. He said that the farmers who are cultivating the wheat are being disbursed Rs. 5000 per Acre while, government is focusing on the reconstruction of damaged houses.

He said that Imran Khan had made a big blow to the cause of the flood victims. He diverted attention from the flood victims by the long march and now announcement of dissolving the assemblies.

 GAS LOAD SHEDDING:

In response to the question of load shedding of gas and electricity, he said that Pakistan People’s Party is definitely a part of the federal cabinet, but they cannot tolerate injustice with Sindh in any case.

He said that Pakistan People’s Party has raised this issue with the federal government. He demanded from the federal government to take notice of the load shedding of gas and electricity in Sindh and to ensure due share gas of Sindh under the constitution. He remarked that it is the responsibility of the federal government to ensure the judicious distribution of resources among the federating units. He said that due to the gas crisis, our industrialists and traders are worried.

 ENOUGH WHEAT STOCK:

On this occasion, the provincial food minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla while replying to a question, said that the Sindh government has 7.5 Lac metric tons of wheat in its stock and enough to supply flour to the people at subsidies rates till March 2023. The provincial minister said that the Sindh government had set a target of procurement of 1.4 million metric tons of wheat in current season.

The Sindh government had procured 1 million metric tons from local farmers, while 4 Lac metric tons has been purocured from Passco, out of which 2 Lac metric tons of wheat has been delivered, the remaining 2 Lac metric tons will be delivered by December 20.

He said that there was a fear of damage to the wheat in the areas affected by floods and rains, but thankfully, major stock of wheat remained safe. Only little damage has been reported.  He added that food department teams have checked warehouses in different areas and the damaged wheat has been separated.
