Karachi: Aam Log Ittehad has called for immediate general elections in Pakistan, stating that the
current government is imposed and lacks the legitimacy to represent the people. The demand was
made during a meeting chaired by Barrister Farrukh Zia Shaikh, Chairman of Aam Log Ittehad, at the
party’s central office. Party leaders, including key office bearers, were present to review the
country’s current political situation.
During the meeting, the leadership emphasized that the people are disillusioned with traditional
political parties in the Parliament that is Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-
Nawaz (PML-N), and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), with many abandoning these parties.
Commodore Sadeed Malik, the Chief Organizer, stated that Aam Log Ittehad's leader, Justice (R)
Wajihauddin, has a team with utmost honest, knowledgeable and with the highest potential to fill
this political void, as the public is looking for a leader who can address their basic concerns. He
invited those who were frustrated from the present parties to come and join hands with the district
organisers of Aam Loeg Itehad to move forward to take Pakistan to the position it deserves to be in,
amongst the international comity.
The party plans to mobilize its organizational structure ahead of the upcoming elections, with new
district-level Presidents and General Secretaries to be appointed to make the party more active.
Malik reiterated that the party’s manifesto was focused on the welfare of the people, by providing
the right education, provision of the health facilities, and jobs through industrialisation. He
advocated for the election of representatives who would truly represent the Interests of the public
through welfare, welfare, and welfare alone.
