Karachi, Pakistan – May, 2024 – Ilma University’s School of Media Science celebrated World Press Freedom Day with a compelling panel discussion, showcasing the invaluable role of journalism in today’s world.
The panel, consisting of distinguished figures such as Faheem Siddiqui, Bureau Chief of 24 News; Syed Hassan Abbas, Editor of Daily Express News; Lubna Jarrar Naqvi, LJN Media Practitioner; and Shabina Faraz, Environmental Journalist, captivated audiences with their insights and experiences.
Under the theme “A Press for the Planet: Journalism in the Face of the Environmental Crisis,” the event underscored the critical role of media in addressing environmental challenges. Through engaging discussions and thought-provoking dialogue, participants were empowered to pursue journalistic excellence and uphold the principles of press freedom.
