Karachi: ICCMC is an existing Cricket facility with two flood-lit cricket fields and a club. The club hosted games and leagues in the year 2013 and 2014 as pilot programs. There are about half a dozen public grounds in and around Houston area dedicated for day time cricket. Unfortunately, due to the lack of lit cricket grounds, young kids who are passionate about playing cricket are forced into playing in unsafe areas at night. No one should have to fearfully partake in playing a sport as fun and rewarding as cricket. Cricket is a sport that unites communities from all over the area and makes them one on the playing field and that is the goal of our venture.
Despite the fact that Baseball has become more mainstream in the United States and has a very long and illustrious history, Cricket predates it. Cricket drew large crowds well into the early 20th century. However, as time went by, Cricket lost popularity and was overshadowed by sports such as baseball, tennis and squash. Fast forwarding to today, cricket continues to be a much-loved, multicultural amateur sport and is passionately played in all corners of the country. There are over 25,000 active players who are members of more than fifty leagues and 1,100 clubs across the United States. As most players are immigrants from all over the world, cricket is one of the most diverse sports in the US. With over 600 playing fields in the US, anybody of any skill level and gender should find playing opportunities within easy reach of where they live.
Even though Cricket is our main focus, we intend on expanding our horizons and adding other sports such as Football, Tennis, Basketball, Golf and Soccer and facilities such as Community Center, Banquet Hall, Gym, Swimming pool, Golf and Cricket Shop Pro to bring families and community together to live healthy and happy life together in respectful manner.
