Life is all about serving the humanity anywhere across the globe. I am
impressed by the philanthropic spirit of the Pakistani community in
Houston, who together with their high professional competence is serving
the humanity in the US, Pakistan, and elsewhere across the world. This
makes us proud and makes the world a better place. It is nice to learn
about the cooperative $2 million cash & in-kind intervention of AFDR,
HKSCA, HHRD, & MB after the climate change induced floods of 2022,
including the 155 homes made for the flood victims”
These were the sentiments expressed by Honorable Pakistani
Ambassador to the US Mr. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh at the sending off
ceremony of two Forty-Feet large containers of medical supplies &
equipment, through the support of community benefactors, especially
patron-in-chief Syed Javaid Anwar of Midland Energy, & collaborating
partner organizations, “Medical Bridges (MB)”, Alliance For Disaster
Relief (AFDR)”, “Houston-Karachi Sister City Association (HKSCA)”, and
“Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD)”.
On arrival at Medical Bridges, Honorable Ambassador Rizwan Saeed
Sheikh was greeted by President of MB Walter Ulrich, President of
HKSCA Muhammad Saeed Sheikh, Director of Development of HHRD
iLyas Choudry, & other community organizers.

Sheikh was the emcee on the occasion welcoming all the guests &
community members, and then the proceedings started with Quranic
recitation by Br. Moeez Khan of HHRD.
On this occasion, Honorable Congressman AL Green gave away
Certificate of Congressional Recognition & Special Gifts to Ambassador
Mr. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, and the collaborating partners MB, AFDR,
HKSCA, and HHRD.
Prominent figures were present on the occasion Consul General
Muhammad Aftab Chaudhry, City of Houston Council Member Leticia
Plummer, Consul General of Pakistan Aftab Chaudhry, Consul General of
Russia, Angola, Honorary Consul General Emeritus of Bangladesh,
former test cricketer Jalaluddin, Dr. Muhammad Yaqub Sheikh of AFDR,
