Houston, Texas: The Business Networking Dinner held in Houston by the HKSCA in partnership with the Consulate General of Pakistan and APPNA-STC was a turning point in presenting Sialkot’s diverse and vibrant industrial sector and its ability to tap into the international market. This meeting assembled a distinguished Trade Delegation from Sialkot, Pakistan, showcasing products such as sportswear, leather products, surgical instruments, and others.
Another interesting part of the event was the presentation made by Mr. Shahzada Zeeshan Aeb about the 300-year history of craftsmanship in Sialkot and its contribution to exports in Pakistan, which amounted to over $2. 5 billion annually. The Consul General of Pakistan in Houston, Muhammad Aftab Chaudhry also supported the statement emphasizing the importance of continuous work on the promotion of Pakistani products in the United States.
The president of HKSCA, Muhammad Saeed Sheikh, reiterated the association’s focus on developing trade relations, especially at a time when economies are struggling. Dr. Riaz ul Haq from APPNA-South Texas praised Sialkot for producing some of the finest surgical instruments and encouraged local firms to build brand equity in the US market.
Trade and Investment Attaché Salman Raza explained the goals of the delegation, which include market research and business networking to enhance the image of Sialkot globally. These people including Mr. Tanwer Ahmad emphasized the need for Sialkot companies to develop their own brands different from each other like Ahsan Sports and CA.
It attracted the attention of some of the most influential business personalities in Houston such as Mr. Walter Ulrich and Mr. Khaled Khan who focused on partnership with US companies. The presence of the international dignitaries including Mr. Orhan Usman and Mr. Kenneth Lee was a clear indication that the event was international.
