The Spring Summer launch of Darbar, from the House of Amir Adnan, did more than simply showcase fashion creativity on the runway! Under the second-generation leadership of CEO Parishae Adnan, the brand transitioned to a Runway-to-Retail model, strategically blending creative output with business execution.
This intermingling of design, production, and retail through the Runway to Retail model targets improving inventory turnover, reducing holding periods, and limiting dependence on markdowns. It aligns production volumes with consumer demands to achieve immediacy and relevance, and reduces excessive production. Greater supply chain predictability is another achievement of the model. Structured production plans (aligned with consumer demands) contribute to smoother collaboration with local artisans and manufacturing partners, thereby reducing inefficiencies and creating a steadier framework. Parishae’s implementation of the Runway to Retail model would add much to sustainable fashion, which is best known for!

For too long has fast fashion been held to strictures that are anything but fast. This bold move was designed to eliminate the gap between runway branding and the in-store retail experience. Selected fashion pieces displayed at the show were successfully made available at retail channels for purchase the following day. This bold initiative will challenge the traditional practice of extensive delays between product displays and actual availability, often spanning weeks to months in the fashion world. It will generate a quicker response rate to consumers’ demand, alongside minimising excess inventories and delayed sell-through. “This is a deliberate move toward tighter operational discipline,” stated the CEO and lead artistic director, Parishae Adnan. “Darbar is not only a creative statement—it represents how we are restructuring the business to respond faster to consumer demand while maintaining control over inventory health and production quality.”
The S/S26 Darbar Collection unveiled as a three-cord narrative discovering inheritance, tension, and command. A romance of quiet luxury where hand-loomed brocades, lucid silks, and sheer organzas in moonlight pastels were brought together to birth elegance shaped by legacy. Enriched with smooth textured surfaces and intricate hand embroideries, the final touch was perfected in sharply tailored velvety silhouettes, brocades, and luxe maroons and golds, for an absolute statement of authority and control.

Darbar fashion show immediately turned into a star-studded event with profile figures and notable celebrities from the media and fashion industry made appearances on the red carpet and cheered on the creatively talented CEO, Parishae. Some of the celebrities included Ahsan Khan with his wife, Fatima Khan, Azfar Rehman, Hina Khawaja Bayat, and singer, Yashal Shahid. Proud parents and fashion heads, Amir Adnan and Huma Adnan were all praises for their daughter.
Showcased at Khalikdina Hall, built in 1906, the extravagant Palladian-style historic landmark from the 20th century, the stage for the show, with its strong architectural presence and cultural importance, portrayed tradition and resilience in fashion through a contemporary lens. Runway to Retail promises much. Efficiency aside, let’s pause to embrace its candidature as the perfect gift to the fashion world this festive season.
