ISLAMABAD – Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has said that he is hopeful that they will get justice from the courts.
Talking to the media outside the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences where former President and co-chairman of the PPP, Asif Ali Zardari is being treated, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the cases against his father and the ones against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif are “Very different from each other.”
“Nawaz Sharif has been convicted while Asif Ali Zardari is still accused,” Bilawal said. “Those that have been handed punishments are out of the country while those that are as yet just being investigated are still incarcerated.”
Talking about Imran Khan, the PPP Chairman said that an incompetent Prime Minister cannot resolve the people’s problems.
“People do not want to see a puppet show, they want solutions to their problems,” Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said. “The PPP has been very clear about its stance; this selected government should not continue,” he said in response to a question. “PPP wants to see strong institutions, it wants democracy to continue.”
“We have been listening since a long time that the Chief Minister of Sindh and the Sindh Government are on their way out. Removing the Sindh government is very difficult because the PPP has a historic mandate in the province,” the PPP chairman said in response to a question about the federal government’s recent meeting about Sindh.
“The Prime Minsiter has launched an app against corruption today. I demand that he use it against his own cabinet,” he said.
