KARACHI – First Lady SaminaAlvi on Friday arrived at Karachi Vocational Training Centre for the Intellectually Challenged. She was welcomed with flowers and the smiling faces of children.
CEO of KVTC Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan along with President KVTC Dr. Akhtar Aziz, Joint Secretary Dr. Farhan Essa, and Member Executive Committee Amir RasoolParacha were also present to welcome the honorable guest.
She visited various vocational training and therapy units of the Centre. She inquired about the students’ wellbeing and appreciated the handmade crafts students have made. The students of KVTC presented their handmade Ajrak to the First Lady.
Afterward, Senior Executive Administration Farheen Amir, Director Rehabilitation Amir Shahab, and Principal Sana Ayaz briefed the First Lady about the institute’s working and initiatives taken for the training and empowerment of Special children.
First lady SaminaAlvi lauded the efforts of KVTC in enhancing the strengths of intellectually challenged children so that they can achieve their maximum potential for independent living and meaningful careers and ensured her full support in helping to fulfil KVTC’s Vision 2030.
