NEW YORK : A family’s pet cockatiel in the United States has achieved the Guinness World Record for the oldest parrot of its breed. This cocktail, named Sony, achieved this record at the age of 32 years and 292 days (which was confirmed by the organization in October 2025) and celebrated its 33rd birthday on the 10th of last month. Janet Reacher, the owner of Cocktail from Illinois, USA, said that Sonny became part of their family in 1993 when he was just a few weeks old. He said that earlier his cocktail vocabulary was extensive, but now he uses only a few words.
