Karachi (March 28): Governor Sindh, Kamran Khan Tessori, hosted an iftar and dinner at the Governor House in honor of the Health Reporters Association. The event was attended by health reporters from various newspapers and TV channels, led by the Head of the Ad Hoc Committee, Akhtar Shaheen Rind.
Prominent attendees included Imran Pirzada, Ibrahim Rind, Babar Shaikh, Masroor Khuhro, Safdar Butt, Abid Lodhi, Liaquat Mughal, Raja Irshad Asadi, Waseem Hashmi, Raja Imran, Rizwan Jalali, Maria Ismail, Abida Khan, Pawan Kumar, Imdad Soomro, Shahid Mirani, Nasrullah Jamali, Khalid Jalbani, Imran Shahzad, and others. Press Secretary to Governor Sindh Faisal Farooqui was also present.
During the gathering, the delegation from the Health Reporters Association met with Governor Sindh, Kamran Khan Tessori, to discuss the challenges faced by journalists. The governor assured them of his full cooperation and support.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Tessori praised the role of health reporters in raising public awareness about healthcare and medical treatment, describing their contributions as commendable. He emphasized his awareness of the issues faced by journalists and vowed to provide every possible support.
The governor also stated that the doors of the Governor House are always open for the public and the journalist community. He highlighted ongoing initiatives, including daily iftar and dinner events for people from various sectors and institutions.
Akhtar Shaheen Rind, along with other members of the Health Reporters Association delegation, appreciated the governor’s public welfare initiatives. They lauded his efforts to ensure public well-being through meaningful actions and initiatives at the Governor House.
