The government further increased the price of petrol by Rs 30, after which the price of petrol became Rs 209.86 per liter.

Muftah Ismail said that the new price of diesel will be 204 rupees 15 paise, the price of kerosene will be 181 rupees 94 paise while the new price of diesel will be 204 rupees 15 paise.
The IMF has set strict conditions for raising petrol prices
He said that the IMF has laid down strict conditions for raising the price of petrol.
The finance minister said that talks were being held with the IMF on a daily basis but he could not accept everything they said and an agreement would be reached with them in June.
Muftah Ismail said that taxes would not be levied in June but subsidies would have to be abolished.

The finance minister said that Pakistan’s economy needs to be improved, 25 billion rupees borrowed in 71 years, 20,000 billion rupees borrowed in last 4 years, 120 billion subsidy.
He said that how can we give monthly subsidy on petroleum products which the government runs on 40 billion rupees per month. Can it give subsidy of 120 billion rupees?
