Pakistan: Gold prices in Pakistan have surged to a historic peak. On Saturday, the cost of 24-carat gold soared by Rs. 2,500 per tola, reaching an all-time high of Rs. 260,200. The price of 10 grams of gold also jumped by Rs. 2,144, hitting Rs. 223,080.
This sharp increase follows small gains from the previous day. According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, local gold prices are still being held Rs. 4,500 per tola below their true value. Meanwhile, international gold prices have risen by 3.1 percent this week, reaching $2,507 per ounce.
Silver prices also saw an uptick, with 24-carat silver increasing by Rs. 50 per tola to Rs. 2,950. The price for 10 grams of silver went up by Rs. 43, reaching Rs. 2,529.
