Pakistan: On Saturday, gold prices in Pakistan saw a notable drop, decreasing by Rs2,000 per tola to Rs261,500. This decline came after several days of increases and mirrors the drop in international gold rates. In the local market, the price of gold for 10 grams fell to Rs224,194, down by Rs1,714, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Globally, gold prices also fell, with the rate dropping to $2,497 per ounce, down by $21 from the previous day. The international rate includes a $20 premium per ounce. Just a day earlier, gold prices had risen by Rs1,400 to reach Rs263,500 per tola.
Silver prices also declined, falling by Rs50 per tola to Rs2,850. Last month, gold prices had hit a record high of Rs263,700 per tola in Pakistan.
