US : A gardening enthusiast in the United States won the 2025 Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Way Off by growing the heaviest pumpkin. At the 52nd World Championships held in Half Moon Bay, California, USA, Brandon Dawson of Santa Rosa won the championship by growing a pumpkin weighing 1,064 kilograms (2,346 pounds). Brandon Dawson was awarded $21,114 in prize money at $9 per pound.
