KARACHI- Presidential candidate Tariq Haleem has decided not to run in the presidential election in protest of the biased attitude of the three-member Election Commission of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
Presidential candidate Tariq Haleem, who is contesting the FPCCI’s annual elections for 2021, has written a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan in which it has been revealed that due to biased attitude of three members Election Commission of FPCCI he will not run for the presidency.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, Tariq Haleem said that the deadline for submission of documents was October 28 at 5.30 pm.
But 3 members of the Election Commission extended the time till 6 o’clock even though these members had no power to extend the time, The presence of these members is doubtful .
Therefore, it would be foolish to contest the elections in the presence of such a biased Election Commission.
In a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Tariq Haleem said that you have been fighting for transparent elections for 22 years and you are well aware that corruption is not only about money but also about misuse of power.
He directed the DG Trade Organization to go to Karachi and asked the DGTO to monitor the elections with a strong team.
