Karachi: FPCCI Convener & Anchor Zehra Zahid held this year’s first Women’s Style, Beauty and Skin Care’s Central Standing Committee on the 3rd of November 2022. The Chief Guest was Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik of Pakistan Observer Newspapers and the Guest of Honour was Shahzad Mubin CEO of Walkeze.
Gift giveaways were given by Faysal Rehmani of Gobi Paints. Nighat Mehmood and Saeed Ahmed Saeed were nominated Deputy Conveners. The business community and others attended the meeting including members of the committee ie; Anchor Mona Khan, Ahmad Kamal, H. H Miran Haidar, Shehla Khowaja, Syed Afnan Waqar, Maimoona Khurram, Aiman Afaque, Ahmad Kamal, Syed Faraz Waheed, Suhaib Rehman Farah Zahid, Rahila Ahmed and others.
In the meeting, Current economic challenges faced by Women Entrepreneurs in their fields were discussed as well as recourses were explored that could generate funding to support their underprivileged women programs. Challenges faced by Businesswomen as Mothers was another hot topic.
Impact of hazardous ingredients in Skin Care products in Pakistan is a big issue that was acknowledged and Enrollment challenges in Tax filing/ registration for SME business women were discussed.
In 2020 during Zehra Zahid’s Convenership, she had introduced International Standard Covid Sop’s for Beauty Parlors so they could open and resume work safely which were highly appreciated by the FPCCI management, office bearers and the Governor House.
This year many issues were discussed of concern to the beauty industry, women’s clothing business owners and other women entrepreneur related issues
