Renowned industrialist Fazal Karim Dadabhoy, hailing from a distinguished business family of Pakistan, has been honored for his exceptional contributions to the industrial and diplomatic sectors. Mr. Dadabhoy, a pioneer in the modification of cement systems with polymers, has been recognized for his role in developing advanced composite construction materials. These materials have significantly impacted architectural and civil engineering sectors globally, leading to their citation in scientific, engineering, and architectural literature worldwide.
His innovations have not only revolutionized construction practices in Pakistan but have also been instrumental in various water conservation, heritage revival, and infrastructure development projects. Notable examples include the reduction of water seepage in water courses and canals, repair and maintenance of water reservoirs at the Lasbella Industrial Estate Development Authority, and the restoration of the Mohatta Palace in Karachi, among others.
In addition to his industrial achievements, Mr. Dadabhoy has made significant strides in bilateral trade as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Ivory Coast in Pakistan. His efforts have resulted in the declaration of Karachi and Abidjan as twin cities, strengthening ties between the two nations.
Moreover, Mr. Dadabhoy’s efforts in sensitizing the issue of Kashmir with Ivory Coast following India’s revocation of Article 370 and repeal of 35A have been pivotal.
