KARACHI – Ace actor, television host, and producer, Faysal Quraishi officially received two nominations for ‘Best Male Actor – Viewers Choice’ as well as ‘Best Male Actor – Critics’ for his character ‘Sardar Saif Ur Rehman’ in the hit mega drama serial ‘Muqqadar’ at the LUX Style Awards 2021. The star was nominated alongside other notable actors such as Ahad Raza Mir, Bilal Abbas, and Hamza Ali Abbasi among others. Quraishi has previously been nominated for his commendable acting in several categories including ‘Satellite Best TV Actor’ as well as ‘Best TV Actor – Viewers Choice’ and has won over four LSA awards since the beginning of his career.
Known for his diverse and distinctive roles, Faysal Quraishi took on the part of a feudal lord, ‘Sardar Saif’ in ‘Muqaddar’ where he was lauded for his performance by audiences across the globe. As an unconventional tale of power games, ethics, and love, the storyline revolved around Sardar Saif, who believed that he could attain anything without anyone’s consent. Thus, he kidnapped and forcefully married Raema (played by Madiha Imam). As the series progressed, however, the character developed to touch the hearts of viewers as he eventually recognised his mistakes and apologized profusely to Raema, while taking very good care of her. Other cast members in the series included Ali Ansari, Saife Hassan, and Fazila Qazi.
When asked how it feels to be nominated in two categories for this year’s LSA2021, Faysal Quraishi stated, “It always feels wonderful anytime your hard work is appreciated, so of course my getting nominated for an award is great. I am grateful to my fantastic team who helped in bringing life to the drama. I wish all my talented fellow nominees the best of luck.”
