Lahore, February 17, 2025 – Faysal Bank Limited (FBL), one of Pakistan’s leading Islamic banks, in collaboration with Special Olympics Pakistan (SOP), is supporting the 1st Faysal Bank SOP Unified Marathon in Lahore. This groundbreaking event aims to empower specially-abled athletes and promote inclusivity through the unifying power of sports.
Following the tremendous success of the Karachi Marathon over the past 10 years, FBL is taking its commitment to inclusivity a step further by bringing this unique initiative to the provincial capital of Punjab. The Unified Marathon goes beyond conventional sporting events by providing a platform where individuals of all abilities compete together, breaking barriers and redefining the meaning of true sportsmanship.
The event is scheduled to take place on February 23, 2025 in DHA Phase 9. Open to participants of all backgrounds, the marathon welcomes differently-abled athletes, volunteers, and supporters to be part of this inspiring movement. To encourage maximum participation, registration stalls have been set up at select locations across Lahore, offering detailed event information and on-site sign-ups.
