Fahd Haroon, Minister of State & Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Public Communication & Digital Platforms met with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif earlier today to discuss the progress made in the domain of Public Communication and Digital Pakistan.
During the meeting, briefed the Honourable Prime Minister on the latest developments in the areas of Public Communication and Digital Platforms, including the steps taken to promote digital literacy and expand e-businesses in the country.
PM asked me to continue my efforts and complete the given tasks, and specifically instructed me to counter misinformation, especially in the digital domain.
Also in focus was the prevailing political situation in the country amongst other things.
Fahd Haroon expressed my commitment to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the Digital Pakistan vision, which aims to accelerate the country’s digital transformation and also enable citizens to reap the benefits of the digital economy.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with the PM reaffirming his optimism for the future of Pakistan and his determination to overcome the challenges faced by the country. I assured him of my full commitment to all tasks assigned to him.
