Frankfurt, Germany : Carpet manufacturers and exporters from Pakistan have, for the first time, participated in the Heimtextil exhibition being held in Germany and have immediately succeeded in attracting the attention of international buyers. This participation is expected to give fresh momentum to Pakistan’s carpet industry. At the same time, the doors of Heimtextil 2026 have formally opened for Pakistan, marking the beginning of an important and decisive edition for the home and contract textile industry. Pakistani manufacturers and exporters have pinned high hopes on Heimtextil 2026, the world’s largest textile exhibition organized by Messe Frankfurt, which has commenced in Germany.

Pakistani textile manufacturers have come to participate in the 2026 exhibition with great expectations, stating that there are vast opportunities for increasing Pakistan’s exports. Several exporters have also appreciated the support of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP). The CEO of Gul Ahmed Textile Mills, Zaki Basheer, has been appointed as a member of the Heimtextil Advisory Board, becoming the first Pakistani industrial leader to receive this honor.

At Heimtextil, sustainable development goals are being showcased, while textile manufacturers are promoting their respective products and introducing new technology-based offerings. A total of 285 manufacturers and exporters from Pakistan have set up stalls, with a large number of Pakistani companies participating with bed linen, kitchen linen, towels, and leather products. It is expected that this year the textile exhibition will bring together more than 3,100 exhibitors from 65 countries on a single platform.

Prominent Pakistani exhibitors at Heimtextil include Gul Ahmed, Alkaram, Lakhani, Sajid Textile, Lucky Textiles, Nishat, and Sapphire. In the Carpet and Rugs section, companies such as Everest Export Corporation, SBR Enterprises, Khyber Weavers International, and others are participating.

Pakistan’s Commercial Consul in Frankfurt, Amina Naeem, inaugurated the TDAP Pakistan Pavilion by cutting the ribbon along with Messe Frankfurt’s representative in Pakistan, Umar Hadi Salahuddin, Zameer Soomro, and other exporters. Speaking on the occasion, she said she was extremely pleased to see that, as every year, Pakistan has recorded a very strong and significant participation, with stalls set up both privately and within the TDAP pavilion. She expressed confidence that 2026 would prove to be a good year for Pakistan’s textile and carpet industry, as Pakistani textile products are being highly appreciated at the exhibition. She further expressed strong hope that, with full attention and support from the government, Pakistani exporters would secure good orders through the exhibition.

She added that there is a heavy rush of buyers at different booths, and with government support for exports and the efforts of exporters, Pakistan’s exports are increasing year after year.

Former Chairman of SITE Association of Industry and Director of Nazo International, Abdul Hadi, said that they are very optimistic about bringing more business to Pakistan. He added that they have brought high-quality products to ensure good business opportunities for the country. While acknowledging existing challenges, he emphasized that continuous struggle is essential, which is why they have shifted their industry to solar energy to reduce production costs and gain a stronger position in the global market. He also advised other exporters to reduce their cost of production.

Ali Manno, Director of Samira Fabrics, said that the first day proved to be an excellent opportunity for Pakistani exhibitors to connect with global buyers, explore new opportunities, and highlight Pakistan’s textile expertise. Muzammil Qureshi, Sales and Marketing Manager at Kamal Textile, stated that the strong start of Heimtextil 2026 reflects growing confidence in innovative textile solutions and sets high expectations for the coming days.

Muheen A. Razzak, Director of Hisham Towels, remarked that the first day of Heimtextil 2026 began with extraordinary enthusiasm, witnessing a large turnout of visitors and strong participation from buyers and industry leaders. With an energetic first day, a high number of visitors, and strong buyer interest, it is expected that Heimtextil 2026 will maintain this momentum in the days ahead.
