SAU, Pakistan and Humaniti, Canada innovate to aid Ramadan Spirit
Tandojam: As Ramadan progresses into its third week, the spirit of generosity and communal support is vibrantly alive at Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam, thanks to a pioneering initiative in partnership with Hoopo Inc., Canada, and Humaniti.
This collaborative effort has introduced a solar-powered clean water purification box at the university, ensuring access to safe drinking water, while also actively participating in Iftar meal distributions, underlining the profound rewards of feeding those who fast.
Reflecting on the sacred practice of providing Iftar, Firaaz Azeez, Director of Humaniti, emphasized the initiative’s alignment with the blessings and rewards associated with this noble act.
As the Ramadan challenge encourages, the program not only facilitates access to clean and cool water during the intense summer heat but also fosters community spirit through shared Iftar meals and support for those in need.
In addition to the clean water project, Naseer Qureshi, President of Hoopo, highlighted the concerted efforts to extend hospitality and generosity within the university and beyond.
This includes organizing communal Iftar meals for students, faculty, and the broader community, emphasizing the importance of sharing the blessings of Ramadan through fellowship and camaraderie.
Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Marri, Vice Chancellor of SAU, expressed gratitude for the partnership’s impact on service delivery, including food supplies during Iftar and safe water supplies, which have significantly advanced the university’s mission of academic excellence and community service.
Dr. Marri praised the initiative for enhancing the capacity of trainee students and graduates in environmental stewardship and carbon control, furthering the shared goals of sustainability.
This initiative not only exemplifies the Ramadan spirit of giving and sharing but also marks a significant step towards addressing environmental sustainability and community well-being.
It stands as a testament to the powerful impact of collaboration and innovation in fostering a supportive and inclusive community during the holy month.
As we move forward in Ramadan, let us take inspiration from SAU, Hoopo Inc., and Humaniti’s efforts to spread compassion and generosity.
May their work inspire others to engage in acts of kindness, contributing to the well-being of the community and embracing the rewards of feeding those who fast during this blessed month. SAU and Hoopo partners are working on a roadmap to establish Carbon Neutral Villages.
