A new report states that Elon Musk will take over as chief executive after buying Twitter.
CNBC quoted sources as saying that the owners of Tesla and SpaceX will head the company after completing the acquisition of the social network.
However, there was no indication as to whether the information came from Elon Musk or from Twitter.
Twitter is currently in the hands of Prague Agarwal, who took over after Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey resigned in November 2021.
Elon Musk has been a vocal critic of Twitter’s current management, arguing that differences with current leaders over the operation of the social network are the most trivial reason to buy the company.
In his first letter to the board’s chairman, Brett Taylor, in which he offered the company, Elon Musk said he did not trust management.
He added that if he could not buy the company, he would reconsider his position as a shareholder due to lack of confidence in management.
