Karachi – The Board of Directors of EFU Life Assurance Ltd has appointed Mr Mohammed Ali Ahmedas the new MD & CEO of EFU Life, w.e.f 10 July 2023. Alihas 29 years of professional experience in the life insurance industry and is an Actuary by qualification. He started his career at a trainee position and over the last three decades has risen through the ranks to reach the leadership position. In his recent roles at EFU Life, Ali served as the Chief Strategy Officer, before being elevated to Deputy MD position in 2021. Ali joined EFU Life in 2002 and prior to this worked in the public sector life insurance industry for 8 years.
With an impressive tenure of 21 years with the Company, Ali brings a wealth of experience, deep industry knowledge, and a steadfast commitment to values. As a trusted member of EFU Life, Ali has played an instrumental role in the organization’s success and growth, serving various key positions throughout his career.Over the last decade, he has actively developed the enterprise level strategy for the organization, working closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors to define, assess and implement strategies in all business areas of the Company.
Ali takes over the leadership role from Mr. Taher G. Sachak, who will serve on the Board as Vice Chairman. Over the last three decades, Mr. Taher G. Sachak has made a significant contribution that has positioned EFU Life as a leading life insurance provider in Pakistan.
