Many fans believe that Durefishan has no prior media background, but in fact, she was introduced by renowned Pakistani actor Kashif Mehmood. In an old interview with Hassan Chaudhary, Durefishan mentioned, “When I first came to Karachi for auditions, my father’s close friend Kashif Mehmood helped me get auditions with major production houses. I auditioned and returned to Lahore. Fortunately, I landed the role in Dilruba through this process. Initially, I was supposed to play the female lead in another project (with a different channel), but they rejected me, which left me disheartened. I then immediately accepted the role in Dilruba, and here I am today.”
On another occasion, Durefishan stated that she entered showbiz on her own and that her father, although a producer, did not assist her in becoming an actress.
Fans have varied opinions about Durefishan’s views on nepotism and her talent. They are also comparing her success with that of other actors and commenting on her appearance.
