KARACHI – Former Chairman Standing Committee on Communication (FPCCI) Minister Information Technology, Health and Environment Muhammad Noman Saigal said advanced countries have reached the edge of IT sector and only working on advance technology research and development, as the IT structure and development has been completed.
These countries are focusing on under developed countries to manage IT business. The structuring of IT development is on the tune of billions of US Dollars. The IT giants are attracting towards countries like Pakistan because of tremendous scope of IT business. There are thousands of projects related to software as well as hardware in all the government portfolios of provincial as well as federal level.
Security is the major component in IT projects in Pakistan. Safety needs attention and proper planning to have fool proof security benefits of the country. It has been observed that IT development structuring is going on in Defense sector, Service Portfolio as well as Health and Education sector.
The IT business is increasing tremendously due to the population of Pakistan because IT development is linked with the people of the country.
The IT giants are not even developing their financial support to Pakistan but they are also diverting the technology and even offering long term investment. China is leading due to the cost effectiveness and now Europeans and Americans also have to reduce the cost.
Telecommunication, Banking and Trade sectors are managing a major chunk of IT business. The international IT consultants have geared up to play their role to get maximum business. Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad are major hubs of IT business because of having head offices of all the leading organization of Provincial as well as government sector. Karachi being the port city takes maximum business. The human resource is also available in Karachi which makes the projects viable and effective.
Proper planning is needed to select the best possible companies to develop IT sector in Pakistan, leads to the best possible results.
