CBD punjab and ruda embarks on transformative visit to China
Lahore April 2024: A high-powered delegation comprising representatives from Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), and Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has embarked on a crucial visit to the People’s Republic of China. Led by the COO of CBD Punjab & RUDA, Brigadier (R) Mansoor Janjua, the delegation aims to foster strategic collaborations and showcase transformative development initiatives.
The delegation includes Riaz Hussain, Executive Director Technical CBD Punjab, Ali Waqar Shah, Director Business Development CBD Punjab, Asif Iqbal, Director Project Management, CBD Punjab, Fatima Ali Khan, Director Business Development and Investment Relations RUDA and Sana Iqbal, Assistant Director PR RUDA.
The delegation’s itinerary encompassed visits to Beijing and Shanghai along two other cities, where they will engage industry leaders and members of the business community. The focus of these engagements is to spotlight the transformative potential of the Nawaz Sharif IT City, poised to emerge as the largest IT hub in the Pakistan under the banner of CBD Punjab. Furthermore, the delegation shed light on various ongoing and upcoming projects under the ambit of RUDA including the latest trends in urban morphology and emerging new blue space at 47 kilometers, demonstrating the holistic sustainable development initiatives undertaken by the authority.
Brigadier (R) Mansoor Janjua, COO of CBD Punjab & RUDA, expressed enthusiasm about the collaborative opportunities between Punjab and China, stating, “This visit marks a significant milestone in our pursuit of fostering strategic partnerships and exploring avenues for mutual growth. By fostering dialogue and collaboration with key stakeholders in China, both authorities aims to accelerate its journey towards sustainable urban development and economic prosperity.
