Karachi: Dates show organised by Shah Abdul Lateef University Khairpur and Maritime Museum Karachi along with various other stakeholders organised this Mega Event. The Vice Chancellor of Shah Abdul Latif University Mr. Yousuf Ahmed Khushk was very concerned about the Dates trade and cultivation and assured all the stakeholders to manage whatever is needed on his part including the R & D
Mr Farooq Azam the DG Maritime Museum was very positive and supportive in concern to the promotion of Dates and played a very vital role in Organising the whole event by giving maximum support as far as the Maritime Museum is concerned.
Former Minister Muhammad Noman Saigal and Convener Horticultural Standing Committee urged the need for national and international trade on the dates in and out of Pakistan. He was also one of the major sponsor’s of the event held on the 24th and 25th of August at the Maritime Museum Karachi. He is also of the opinion that he should customise the dates to manage its sale on international platforms all over the globe and assured everyone he will play his role in this regard.
Lala Ghafar of Anjuman e Tajran also played a major role as a main sponsor of the event the Date show at Maritime Museum. He also emphasised the small growers of Khairpur to grant excess for them all over Pakistan and all over the country as well. Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali Chairman of PARC was the Chief Guest of the Technical Session of the session He assured everyone of full support from the Government Sector to enable the farmers and other stakeholders of the trade for effective support.
Dig East Mr. Ghulam Asfer Mehsar was also the Guest of Honour in the technical session and was very concerned about being the date farmer as well. He said that he is also one of the stakeholders in date cultivation and trade and is willing to work hand in hand with all for the betterment of this fruit at all levels.
Mr. Sarfaraz Korejo was the focal person who played a prominent role in organising the whole show. Mr Saleem Chadio Organised the whole event by managing the venue with beautiful stalls, banners, food, stage almost everything at the venue.
Shields were also distributed by DG Maritime Museum Mr Farooq Azam and flower bouquets were also given to the guests with the Curtsy of Zerrritta Flowers owned by Saira Noman Saigal.
