CPEC flagship project of B&R & moving forward.

Consul General of People’s Republic of China Li Bijian has said that the China- Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will continue to grow and expand despite the negative propaganda unleashed by certain countries. He said CPEC is a flagship project of “Belt and Road”. The project, covering the whole of Pakistan including Gwadar, is moving forward despite of Covid-19.

Li Bijian was addressing the delegation of Karachi Editors Club (KEC) that met him at the Chinese Consulate Karachi to pledge their support to the Consul General for strengthening the bilateral media, cultural economic ties between the two countries. On this occasion Li also expressed grief with the people of Karachi who recently suffered because of heavy rains and pledged necessary emergency support.

Replying a question about the negative propaganda against the CPEC, Li Bijian requested members of the KEC to negate the negative perception about the CPEC flagship and use their pen to promote and establish positive edge of the CPEC. He agreed with a questionnaire that it is essential to coordinate with the Chinese journalists to disseminate facts about CPEC on regular basis so that the people of Pakistan should have a clear picture about this mega project.

Li Bijian, appreciated the idea to set up a Pakistan-China Media Corridor (PCMC) between journalists of China and Pakistan to further consolidate relations between the two countries.

Mubasher Mir President, Mukhtar Aqil Senior Vice President and Manzar Naqvi Secretary General of KEC thanked Li Bijian for sparing his valuable time for members of the KEC which essentially would further pave the strong understanding between the peoples of Pakistan and China.

Li Bijian thanked the KEC members and emphasized to work together to improve bilateral ties even stronger among the peoples of both the countries. On this occasion the CG is also gifted some electronic items & equipment to KEC members for their personal and office use.

The exclusive meeting of KEC Executive Committee with the Chinese CG was also attended by Agha Masood Hussain, Mukhtar Butt, Syed Ibne Hassan, Masood Zaidi, Shiraz Siddiqui, Rida Saifee, Muhammad Naeem, Mansoor Ahmed, Chen Xiaodong, Vice CG and Zhang Hao Secretary to the CG China.
