Whole country is under the grip of heavy rains, this has created disaster, panic and strain among the majority of the masses. The infrastructure including roads, bridges, by passes, agricultural lands, properties, etc are either completely swamped or devastated. People urgently need to be evacuated, sheltered and get food on priority basis, said ateeq ur rehman (economic & financial analyst).
Not only the government but civic and public bodies, multinationals, and corporate, philanthropist, NGOs and people with big salaries, benefits and privileges should come forward to help the rain victims out of their big wallets and bank balances.
He added that as a gesture of community services to repair our roads, underpasses, link roads and bridges we should work on our own and shall be dismayed by reliance on government and other bodies. This will not only eliminate corruption, bribery, malpractice, negligence, etc but encourage best practices and results.
To the height of it, the time has come for us to fill our wounds on our own and not anymore relaying and complaining to the Governments and civic bodies.
For repairing our Infrastructure, Roads and filling our ditches and pitches, Associations, Industries, Factories, Federation, Chambers should come forward and get relief from tax authorities.
The NGOs working for relief of sufferer of present disaster needs to be
wholly encouraged not only by providing financial and material help.
Further, Tax Authorities like FBR / SRB should give relief in taxation income and sales tax to the business community who are suffering a lot by urban flooding which made their possessions , storage goods, inventory ruined due to penetration of water into their shops, warehouse, basement, and factories requested ateeq.
The employees of different organizations, mills and factories should be given special discounts on their petrol and electric consumption, as they are the main affectees consequently it has become impossible for them to properly meet the two ends.
