Karachi : On March 15 2024, a Japanese flower arrangement (IKEBANA) lecture and workshop
was held at the Japan Information and Culture Center.
Students from Behbud Girls’ Secondary School Karachi participated in the invigorating
workshop.
Ms. Salma Aziz Khan, President of Ikebana International, is a certified Ikebana
practitioner and teacher. She instructed the students about the traditional culture of
Ikebana and its different styles. She taught them about the three rules of Ikebana –
silence, minimalism and shape.
It was fascinating to see the students so involved in creating their individual work of art.
Under Ms. Salma’s guidance, the students reflected their personalities and preferences
in their projects.
