China has described the information about the disastrous floods in Pakistan as heartbreaking.
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Xiaoli Jian said that China has decided to provide additional humanitarian aid to Pakistan on an emergency basis.
He said that Pakistan will continue to cooperate with Pakistan in global climate response, China will provide more help to its friend country in flood relief and reconstruction.
The spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry added that the news of the devastating floods in Pakistan is heart-wrenching, and the hearts are with Pakistan in this difficult time.
He said that China and Pakistan share each other’s joys and sorrows, we are also partners in climate strategic cooperation.
The spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry also said that Foreign Minister Wang Yi has expressed sympathy with his Pakistani counterpart.
He said that China has provided 4000 tents, 50000 blankets, 50000 tarpaulins to Pakistan, we have also decided to give additional consignment of emergency humanitarian aid.
Spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Chinese Red Cross will give USD 300,000 in cash to the Pakistan Red Crescent.
He said that the All Pakistan Chinese Enterprises Association donated one and a half crore rupees to the flood relief fund, the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and the Pakistani Embassy in China are in touch for funds.
Zhaolijian also expressed confidence that Pakistanis will overcome this calamity and rebuild their homes soon.
