Karachi : Chairman of the Consumers Association of Pakistan (CAP), Kaukab Iqbal, along with Acting Chairperson of the Women Wing, Marium Hina, briefed the media at CAP office regarding the upcoming Women Dignity Award 2026, a prestigious ceremony set to take place on 28th March 2026 at Ramada Creek Hotel, Karachi, aimed at recognizing and celebrating the outstanding achievements of women across Pakistan. The event seeks to honor women who have made exceptional contributions in leadership, social service, education, health, media, business, arts, and other professional and societal fields, and who have played a pivotal role in bringing positive change to society.
The awards are named after three of Pakistan’s most iconic female leaders, celebrating their historic contributions and vision: the Fatima Jinnah Mother of the Nation Women Leadership Award honors women who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership and public service while actively promoting women’s rights; the Begum Ra’na Liaquat Ali Khan Women Service Award recognizes women engaged in social welfare, education, health initiatives, and community development; and the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women Excellence Award celebrates women achieving remarkable success in media, business, education, arts, and other professional domains, serving as inspiring role models for future generations.
In addition to the awards, CAP’s Women Wing will also observe International Women’s Day, highlighting the global movement for gender equality, women’s empowerment, and social inclusion. This special segment of the ceremony will provide a platform to emphasize the importance of women’s active participation in societal development and national progress.
The event will feature eminent guests and dignitaries, including Chief Guest Ms. Shaheena Sher Ali, Minister for Women Development, Guest of Honor DIG Shoukat Ali, and the master of ceremonies Agha Sherazi, while attracting prominent leaders, social activists, government officials, educators, and media representatives from across the country. Notable attendees include Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Mirza Ishtiaq Baig, Muhammad Irfan Soomro, Munsab Abrar, Asad Ullah Laraik, Dr. Fahad Shafiq, Asif Moosa, Naveed Hussain Lakhani, Riaz Ahmed, Ms. Sadia Javed, Syed Sharik Jamal, Khalid Arain, and Atif Iqbal, with special guests Syed Turab Shah, Muhammad Rehan Hashmi, and Ayaz Khan also present.
