Karachi : Former Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Mr. Faraz Abid Lakhani, recently hosted a distinguished dinner in honor of Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed S.I., Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Ms. Mahwish Faraz Lakhani, Member of the HEC, & vice chairperson ILMA University and Mr. Noman Abid Lakhani T.I., Member of the Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) & Chancellor ILMA University. The event brought together an illustrious gathering of diplomats from the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bangladesh, Iran, Malaysia and many others. Distinguished Vice Chancellors, prominent businessmen, corporate professionals, government officials, philanthropists, and leaders from various industries also joined to meet the luminaries.
Chairman HEC, Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, commended the unwavering dedication and efforts of both private and public sector universities, emphasizing specially on the tremendous support and outstanding achievements of the Lakhani family.
Dr. Mukhtar highly appreciated the role of ILMA University in uplifting the higher education sector, especially the university’s remarkable generosity in awarding scholarships that have run into millions. He further acknowledged that due to the outstanding contributions of the Lakhani family to the higher education sector, Mr. Noman Abid Lakhani, Chancellor, ILMA University has been awarded the prestigious Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and notified as the Member of the Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC). Meanwhile, the Vice Chairperson has also been notified as the Member of Higher Education Commission (HEC), further emphasizing the family’s significant impact on the educational landscape. Dr. Mukhtar appreciated the ILMA University’s dedication to fostering academic excellence and ensuring equitable opportunities.
He praised the tireless commitment to quality research and expressed optimism about Pakistan’s potential for achieving new heights.
