KARACHI (Staff Reporter) The 15th edition of the Brand of the Year Awards ceremony, organized by Brands Foundation, was held in Karachi to recognize 150 leading companies and their brands that have earned consumer trust and popularity.
The event was graced by Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah and Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani as chief guests, while FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh attended as guest of honor. Other distinguished attendees included Karachi Chamber of Commerce President Javed Balwani, MNA Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, and former TDAP chief Zubair Motiwala.
In recognition of their outstanding contributions to Pakistan’s business community, FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh and BMG Chairman Zubair Motiwala were awarded the prestigious “Nation’s Pride of Pakistan Gold Medals.”
The ceremony also featured the official launch of “AI Guard” – Pakistan’s first AI-powered security system developed by local software firm “iMagine AI.” This cutting-edge innovation marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s artificial intelligence sector.
Addressing the gathering, Brands Foundation Founder & CEO Shaikh Rashid Alam said: “Our 17-year journey has been honored by the participation of prime ministers, presidents, National Assembly speakers, Senate chairmen, and other national leaders. Today, the world operates on brand power economics, and through this, we can elevate Pakistan’s global standing.”
He emphasized that “Fortune 500 companies dominate the global economy, so we must focus on developing brand culture and knowledge capital.”
Awards were presented across multiple categories including Brand Icon, Fastest Growing Brand, Emerging Brand, CEO & Entrepreneur of the Year and Best Export Performance.
The glamorous event was further elevated by the presence of celebrities including anchor Wasim Badami, Kashif Aslam of Kashee’s, and celebrity chef Gulzar.
More than just an awards ceremony, this event served as both a celebration of Pakistani brands’ achievements and a stepping stone toward strengthening the national economy.
